Selain untuk meningkatkan pengembangan produk kokoa yang dicanangkan komite nasional Nigeria, studi ini juga dilakukan sebagai salah satu kampanye mendukung sebuah produk coklat dari asosiasi perdagangan Inggris,o seperti yang dilaporkan AFP, Rabu (13/09/06).

Kampanye bertema “Feeding Your Imagination”, ini diluncurkan sebagai salah satu cara untuk memasarkan enam jenis produk coklat yang mengandung minyak esensial yang bisa meningkatkan dan memperbaiki mood, terutama gairah seksual.

Coklat yang dipasarkan seharga US$6 (sekitar Rp.54.000) per batang (berat 100 gram) ini juga mengusung nama-nama berbau sensual, seperti: Sexy, Beautiful, Dreamy, Fantastic, Sensual dan Lovely, seperti yang ditulis foodnavigator.com.

Coklat sendiri bagi orang Inggris adalah makanan yang wajib, bahkan di seluruh Eropa, Inggris menjadi negara yang paling banyak mengkonsumsi coklat, dengan rata-rata konsumsi mendekati 10 kilo pertahunnya. Menimbang kenyataan tersebut, produsen coklat Inggris ingin mengembangkan pasar coklat yang unik dan digemari orang dewasa.

Sementara itu bagi Akunyili, coklat sendiri adalah produk ‘cinta’ yang lebih baik dibanding mengkonsumsi viagra. Dalam laporannya Akunyili menuturkan coklat mengandung zat kimia yang sangat beragam, di mana coklat diprediksi mengandung lebih dari 300 substansi kimia, termasuk kafein dalam jumlah kecil, teobromin, dan sebuah stimulan yang disebut phenylethylamine (yang terkait dengan amphetamines) juga terkandung pada coklat, yang terbukti bisa menaikkan minat dan fungsi seksual pada pemakan coklat.

In an effort to temporarily get away from the XX vs. XY jibber jabber, I've decided to shift to a much more pressing topic (Thanks Cup). A 2 sided topic that is pretty hard to talk about.
